Neighbors Of Tempe Improving Code Efforts
N.O.T.I.C.E. is a voluntary program that encourages neighborhood participation in resolving code violations by providing a simple, uniform way for volunteers to monitor their neighborhoods.

In response to requests from neighborhood associations who prefer to handle code violations neighbor to neighbor, N.O.T.I.C.E. has been developed. This is a voluntary program that encourages greater neighborhood participation in resolving code violations.

The N.O.T.I.C.E. program provides a simple, uniform way for volunteers to monitor their neighborhoods.

  • A violation is noted by the neighborhood and is recorded onto a log sheet

  • A volunteer either sends or posts a notice to the residence.

  • 10 days later the volunteer inspects the property. If the violation still exists, the case is referred to Code Enforcement.

Typical violations would include:

  • Inoperable or unregistered

  • vehicles

  • Tall grass and weeds

  • Lawn parking

  • Junk, rubbish or debris
