Neighbors Of Tempe Improving Code Efforts |
N.O.T.I.C.E. is a voluntary program that encourages neighborhood participation
in resolving code violations by providing a simple, uniform way for volunteers to
monitor their neighborhood.
In response to requests from neighborhood associations who prefer to handle code
violations neighbor to neighbor, N.O.T.I.C.E. has been developed. this is a
voluntary program that encourages greater neighborhood participation in
resolving code violations.
The N.O.T.I.C.E. program a sample, uniform way for volunteers to monitor their
neighborhoods. |
- A violation is noted by the neighborhood and is recorded onto a log
sheet
- A volunteer either sends or posts a notice to the residence
- 10 days later the volunteer inspects the property. If the violation
still exists, the case is referred to Code Enforcement

Typical violations would include: inoperable or unregistered vehicles; tall
grass and weeds; lawn parking; junk, rubbish, or debris; street or sidewalk
obstructions.
