  1. How do solar panels work?

    1. Rooftop panels contain silicon semiconductors that absorb sunlight and work even on cloudy days.
    2. Panels convert sunlight into electrons which flow as DC current to the inverter.
    3. DC current passes through the inverter and becomes AC current, the electricity used in your home.
    4. Any excess electricity produced flows to our grid and we credit your account. Because your home is connected to our power grid, you’ll always have electricity.

  5. Are there warranties and/or insurance available for solar?

    • Solar panel systems are incredibly durable and require little to no maintenance over the 25-30 years that you will have them. On the outside chance that something were to go wrong, the parts of your solar PV system have very long warranties that would cover the cost of replacement or repairs.
