Summer Youth Volunteer Program Kick-Off

Middle school, high school and college students are an important part of the city's volunteer team and serve in a variety of volunteer roles in great programs like:
- Adapted Recreation Camp Challenge
- Art & Culture Instructor Assistants
- Escalante Community Center Kamp Kool
- Junior Lifeguards
- Special Events
- Summer Reading Program
- Tempe Time Machine Program
- Volunteer Office
- and more!
Candidates need to complete the Summer Youth Volunteer Application and return it to the Volunteer Services Office, 3500 S. Rural Rd. Suite 201, Tempe, AZ 85282 or email Volunteer@Tempe.gov. An interview is also required. Click here to schedule one.
City of Tempe Volunteer Program
The mission of the City of Tempe municipal volunteer program is to connect citizens to their city government through opportunities to serve within the Tempe municipal government organization and the community.
Volunteers serve in Tempe government offices, programs and facilities and expand and enhance the services the city is able to provide to the community. Volunteers enable the city to maximize tax dollars and improve the lives of its citizens.
A wide variety of service opportunities exist for individuals and groups, from sixth-graders through golden-agers, from a few hours to years of service. We welcome you to check us out!
Application to Volunteer
Prospective volunteers will need to complete an application in order to volunteer at the City of Tempe. Applications, in a fillable pdf format, are below. Only one application per year is required.
