Youth Computer Lab

The Tempe Public Library has numerous computers available for their youth in need of a space to work on homework, explore the internet, or play games. Public Computers provide Internet access and standard Microsoft Office functions. Users can log-on to computers with a Tempe Public Library card.

Tempe Galleries are satellite exhibitions coordinated by the Gallery at Tempe Center for the Arts. Adjacent from the Youth Computer Lab. Learn more.

Come meet Roxy - She is a registered therapy dog who loves reading with children of all abilities. You can find her in the library's Caitlin Benson corner, reading books that celebrate diversity. Roxy is ready to read when you are, first come, first served, 10 minute time slots.
Parents must be present. Bring a book or borrow one selected by Roxy.

#ReadItThenSeeIt

storybook season

Founded in 1977, Childsplay is a nationally and internationally respected professional theatre company whose chosen audience is children. The have partnered with Tempe Center for the Arts as a venue for showcasing their performances for school children and families. The 2017-18 season's theme is storybooks; all productions will be adapted from beloved children's classics and contemporary works.

Tempe Public Library #ReadItThenSeeIt Prize Drawing

Starting September 1, 2017, the Tempe Public Library is teaming up with Childsplay to ensure you can #ReadItThenSeeIt! The Library will be purchasing up to 10 copies of each title so there's less waiting; more reading! Check out one of the books that inspired a Childsplay performance, and you'll be eligible to enter a prize drawing for a Childsplay Family Four Pack tickets voucher! Prize Drawing Details

Winners are drawn on the last Wednesday of the month, September 2017 - April 2018.

Customers show check out receipts at the youth services desk to be entered.

One family four-pack per eligible family.

Winners will be notified by phone or email.

Winners have one week to claim their prize.

Unclaimed prizes will be re-drawn.

By entering in the drawing winners consent to be photographed.

Family four-packs are valid for the Childsplay season, September 2018 – April 2018.

Every book has something "magical" in it! Something you never knew until you opened the cover! Join us, every second Tuesday of the month, to discuss a "magical" book you have recently read.
