Tempe-based roots-rockers The Pistoleros are comprised of front man Lawrence Zubia, his guitarist brother Mark, guitarist Thomas Laufenberg, bassist Scott Andrews and drummer Gary Smith. The Zubias are sons of a mariachi musician and first emerged as members of the Chimeras, which included the ill-fated future Gin Blossoms guitarist Douglas Hopkins. Hopkins' "My Guardian Angel" later surfaced on The Pistoleros' 1997 debut album Hang on to Nothing, which featured songwriting contributions from the Jayhawks' Gary Louris, the Smithereens' Pat DiNizio and Radney Foster.
Teneia Sanders is an internationally-touring musician and songwriter and has four albums to her credit. She has won multiple awards, had her work featured in television and film and has shared the stage with numerous critically-acclaimed artists. One of her most prominent pieces, "Stand," earned a placement in the HBO documentary Prom Night in Mississippi featuring Morgan Freeman and in the Paul Saltzman documentary The Last White Knight. In October 2012 she completed a four-week solo tour of the United States, and in April 2013 she completed a seven-week solo tour of the U.S. and Canada. Sander’s newest release, Radioactive Lover, features tasty pop hooks flavored with a Motown-era vintage vibe while retaining the passion and soulfulness that have become trademarks of her sound. Radioactive Lover, is available internationally on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Bandcamp and other digital outlets.
