The City of Tempe has two public pools, one splash playground and three neighborhood spray pads. Public pools include the indoor wave pool at the Kiwanis Recreation Center and the outdoor pool at the Escalante Multi-Generational Center. The splash playground is located at Tempe Beach Park and the neighborhood spray pads are located at Jaycee, Hudson and Esquer Parks.

The Kiwanis Wave Pool is a year-round indoor heated pool featuring a lap pool with six lanes and zero depth entry. The Wave Pool is open during the Spring and Summer months offering 3' waves in varying patterns. The pool also features a 127 ft. long and 15 ft. tall double spiral water slide and splashdown pool. The Wave Pool is located in the Kiwanis Recreation Center.

The Escalante Pool is a seasonal, outdoor pool featuring a lap pool with six lanes and a zero depth entry play pool. The play pool offers water features and two slides for hour of entertainment. The outdoor pool is located at the Escalante Multi-Generational Center.
Splash Playground is located at Tempe Beach Park and the neighborhood spray pads are located at Esquer, Hudson and Jaycee Parks.

This one-acre park features lots of fun interactive play equipment, including a waterfall, slide, dumping buckets, spray cannons, frog spray ring and more. The playground is located at 80 W. Rio Salado Pkwy. Admission is free. Lifeguards are on duty.
