Tempe, home to a vibrant downtown and the sparkling Town Lake, has cultivated a diverse public art collection currently numbering more than 70 projects. Tempe's collection of temporary and permanent public art complements the natural and built environment through innovating place-making, installations, and infrastructure enhancements. Tempe Public Art strives to implement new initiatives and commission artwork that engages our community and changes perceptions about public art.

Tempe Public Art is funded by the Municipal Arts Fund. One percent of the City's total annual capital improvements budget is appropriated for the Municipal Arts Fund in order to advance visual and performing arts within Tempe.
