Tempe
Community Information Bulletin
The following information
reflects citizen generated calls for service information specific to apartment
communities, mobile home communities, parks, and schools located in Tempe.
Apartment and Mobile Home Communities
Due to the fact that many of Tempe’s residents live in apartments and mobile
home communities, the Crime Analysis Unit produces a monthly calls for service
bulletin for both of these communities. It is important to note the apartment
calls for service bulletin only includes Tempe apartment communities with more
than twenty units. The calls for service bulletins rank order the apartment and
mobile home communities by the rate of calls for service per unit. The monthly
bulletins as well as the 2007 summary bulletins are available on the Crime
Analysis Unit website. These bulletins are used by the Crime Free Multi-Housing
Coordinator and the Crime Prevention Unit in working with different apartment
and mobile home communities in Tempe. The following two tables depict the ten
apartment and mobile home communities with the most calls for service in 2007.
The tables below rank the apartment and mobile home communities by sheer number
of calls for service (for a ranking of apartment and mobile home communities by
calls for service per unit please view the Crime Analysis Unit’s website).

Schools and Parks
There are dozens of parks and schools in Tempe and in order to assist the
juvenile detectives that work with the various Tempe schools and the park
rangers that monitor activity in the Tempe parks, the Crime Analysis Unit
prepares both a Tempe school and Tempe park calls for service bulletin. The
calls for service bulletins track the number of calls for service at each park
and school. Moreover, the Tempe park calls for service bulletin rank orders the
parks by the rate of calls for service per acre. The quarterly bulletins are available on the Crime Analysis Unit website.
The following two tables depict the ten parks with the most calls for service in
2007 and the ten schools with the most calls for service during the 2007-2008
school year (August 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008).
