Pawnbroker

Any person engaged in the business of pawnbroking, or the business of loaning money and receiving as security pawns or pledges of personal property.

§16A-1 to §16A-39

Annual permit fee $50

· Sales tax license is also required

· Account is set-up in the computer system and the physical file is prepared

· Applications for business and individuals are sent to the Police Dept for processing and approval/denial

·         Business application is reviewed, processed, and approved/denied by
    Community Development
    Building Safety
    Fire Dept.
