Door-to-Door Solicitor
 
Any person who goes uninvited to any residence within the city selling or offering to sell any type of service or any type of personal property.
 
Tempe City Code §24-56 to §24-90
 
Non-refundable application fee $100; Annual permit fee $50, pro-rated to $35 July 1st through October 31, ID card fee $5
 

Application packet must contain the following:

  • business application

  • individual applications for all door to door sellers

All owners must submit fingerprints

Digital photos (taken by licensing staff)

Application packet is processed by:

                  1.      Police Department

License is issued to licensee along with photo identification badge

A sales tax license is also required
