Professional and Collegiate Sports
It’s hard not to get enthused about sports when in Tempe. Whether it’s basking in the warm sun at a spring training baseball game at Diablo Stadium, checking out the Sun Devil basketball team or cheering on the Arizona Cardinals, you can get your fill of just about any spectator sport.

Beyond the professional and collegiate sports played within the city, Tempe is within 15 minutes of Bank One Ballpark and America West Arena, the homes of World Series winning Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team, NBA Phoenix Suns basketball team, and Arizona Rattlers arena football team. The NHL Phoenix Coyotes hockey team plays in Glendale, about 30 minutes away.
