It’s hard not to get enthused about sports when in Tempe.
Whether it’s basking in the warm sun at a spring training baseball game at
Diablo Stadium, checking out the Sun Devil basketball team or cheering on
the Arizona Cardinals, you can get your fill of just about any spectator
sport. Beyond the professional and collegiate sports
played within the city, Tempe is within 15 minutes of Bank One Ballpark and
America West Arena, the homes of World Series winning Arizona Diamondbacks
baseball team, NBA Phoenix Suns basketball team, and Arizona Rattlers arena
football team. The NHL Phoenix Coyotes hockey team plays in Glendale, about
30 minutes away.
Arizona Cardinals
Sun Devil Stadium, at the edge of Tempe Town Lake, is the home to the
Arizona Cardinals. Enjoy a Sunday game without the worry of snow.
Arizona State University athletics

University. Facilities for football, baseball, softball, basketball, cross
country, track and field, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, diving,
tennis, volleyball, water polo, wrestling and cheer are all located on the

people. Sun Devil Stadium has hosted the 1996 Super Bowl, and is the annual
home to the Fiesta Bowl and many rock concerts, including U2 and the Rolling
Stones.
Wells Fargo Arena, the home for Sun Devil men’s and women’s basketball as
well as volleyball, gymnastics and wrestling, is one of the nation’s finest

Star Game, the league came to Tempe. Not only is Tempe home to the
Anaheim
Angels, it offers the most central baseball stadium in the valley.
