Headquartered in Tempe, these twelve colleges in Maricopa County offer six degree programs, including Associate in Arts (AA); Associate in Science (AS); Associate in Applied Science (AAS); Associate in Business (ABus); Associate in General Studies (AGS); and Associate in Transfer Partnership (ATP). Certificates of Completion are offered in diverse occupational areas. At the end of an academic year, the colleges award more than 4,000 degrees and 10,000 certificates. These colleges are nationally recognized for providing courses tailored to area businesses.

New School for the Arts
Now located in Tempe, New School for the Arts is a tuition-free visual and performing arts charter high school serving 17 Phoenix-area communities. Rio Salado College
A two-year college, Rio Salado offers programs in general education designed to get students ready for a major university. Programs in dental hygiene and associate degrees are also available at this college headquartered in Tempe. Rio Salado College is known as the college without walls because it holds classes in so many locations throughout the metropolitan area.

University of Phoenix
More than 100 campuses nationwide, University of Phoenix provides bachelor and masters degrees in business, technology, education, nursing, health care, management, counseling, and criminal justice, among others. This university primarily serves working adults.

Arizona School of Massage Therapy
In these days of high stress and hectic schedules, massage therapists are in high demand across the country.
