Located in the heart of Tempe, Arizona State University is an
iintrical part of the community. As Tempe's largest employer the university
provides, 12,000 jobs, from the highest level researchers to student
internships. Providing the educational benefits of
major university, ASU offers many degree programs and is a qualifies
Research Institution. About 50,000 students attend classes at the Tempe
campus alone.
Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. programs are available at the
university's colleges, which include: Barrett Honors College, College of
Architecture and Environmental Design, College of Education, Ira A. Fulton
School of Engineering, College of Law, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences,

to Tempe. Cultural events such as the Broadway series at Gammage Auditorium,
come to ASU regularly. Museums are scattered throughout the campus, allowing
residents to see the art, anthropology, and the like. An observatory and a
Mars exploration center allow people to look at worlds far, far away.
Students from many cultures bring their viewpoints and
ideas into the community and create a diverse, world flavor for Tempe. The
brilliance of internationally renowned professors focuses the dreams of
these students and shapes the planet of tomorrow
ASU intends to expand its influence from beyond the
traditional campus into the streets of the metropolitan area. Already moved
into two floors of the Brickyard, a corporate building in Tempe's downtown.
ASU is buying the entire building and moving its research into the center of
Tempe's business community. There, researchers and students will move with
industry leaders.
ASU is intertwined with Tempe, its goal to educate and
inspire minds lifts the community and brings forward new ideas, new
businesses, and new thinking.
"ASU will be connected from campus
all the way to Town Lake.
The Brickyard is part of ASU's strategy
to become on with downtown Tempe."
