developments in Tempe include:
Arizona State University Research Park
Located near Loop 101 and Warner Road, the Arizona State University Research
Park offers companies the advantages of a university atmosphere in a more
corporate setting. Members of the research park corporate community enjoy
access to many university services, including the ASU library system,
laboratory facilities, resources and faculty. Expertise in research and
technical writing is available as well. Major companies located in the
Research Park include Edward Jones Regional Headquarters, Cytec Fiberite,
Avnet, Phillips Semiconductor. Technology for the flexible wristband monitor
is being developed at this research park.
Centerpoint
The Centerpoint complex is a major retail, office and restaurant development
in downtown Tempe. Tenants include Chase BankCard Services Processing Center
for the southwest region, Z Gallery and PF Chang’s.
Fountainhead Corporate Park
Home to Sundt Construction, State Farm Insurance Regional Headquarters and
Calance, Fountainhead Corporate Park provides views of spring training at
Tempe Diablo Stadium and access to surrounding freeways. Several mid-rise
office buildings weave their way through this grassy campus with fountains.
Emerald
Center
The new site for IKEA, Emerald Center provides more than 100 remaining acres
of prime freeway-frontage for development. More retail and commercial space
and a hotel site are planned. Office space exists, as does a
state-of-the-art fitness center.
Hayden Ferry Lakeside
The Hayden Ferry Lakeside project is a mixed-use development consisting of
750,000 square feet of Class A office space, restaurants, shopping and
entertainment, a hotel, and residential condominiums. The first phase
consists of more than 200,000 square feet of office and retail space. It’s
visible from Loop 202, Sky Harbor International Airport, and Tempe's Mill
Avenue. Current tenants include SunCor, McCarthy Construction and Medaire,
among others.
Papago Park Center
Papago Park Center, located on the north of the Salt River, is a 522-acre,
$2 billion mixed-use development. The headquarters of Salt River Project is
located in the Center, along with other highly visible companies such as
ConocoPhillips, J.B. Rodgers Mechanical Contractors, OrthoLogic, Express
Scripts, Three-Five Systems, and DHL Worldwide Express.
Playa Del Norte
This recently approved 19.5-acre mixed-use development on the north bank of
Tempe Town Lake includes 75,500 square feet of office space, 110 for-sale
residential units, 565 apartments, 4,000 square feet of retail and 17,000
square feet of restaurant space. Construction began on this project in 2004.
