Several groups for those interested in technology are
available in the metropolitan area, but two welcome all types of
professionals in this field: Tech Oasis and the Arizona Technology Council.
The Arizona Bioindustry Association focuses on companies specializing in
biotechnology-related advances.
Tech Oasis
Tech Oasis originated in Tempe as a response to the large number of working
technology professionals that needed a way to network with each other to
exchange ideas, seek customers and work out technical problems. Since that
time, the concept has spread throughout the Southwest.
Techie Tuesdays, hosted at the Owl’s Nest the second
Tuesday of each month, bring people together socially. Arizona State
University researchers give short presentations at these meetings to educate
the community on landmark discoveries occurring at the campus. To learn
more, call (480) 350-8812.
Arizona Technology Council
The Arizona Technology Council is committed to driving the success of member
companies across technology fields and building recognition of the state as
a global leader in a knowledge-based economy.
Representing over 30,000 employees across its more than
400 member companies, the Council champions technology and a common agenda
for supporting the State's economic growth through a stronger technology
industry. The Council provides leadership on the issues vitally important to
the technology community and member programs and events.
Regular education events include the Business & Technology
After 5 Showcase, the Marketing Peer Network, and the Business & Technology
Forum Quarterly Luncheon as well as regular seminars, breakfasts and other
