Residential Building Fee REBATE Program

The Program
The program provides a 100% rebate for all building safety fees on projects
completed on existing
single family residential properties
that are over 20-years old in the City of Tempe.
Projects that are complete and receive a final building inspection
approval within one-year from
the issuance of a building permit will qualify.
This includes all residential additions, alterations
and home projects normally reviewed
and
permitted by the Building Safety Division.

In-ground pools
Landscape work
Plumbing, electrical &
mechanical alterations
And other qualifying
projects!

Backyard Patio cover: $150
New Custom Pool: $250
Bathroom Remodel: $300
Typical Patio Enclosure: $500
Enclosed Entry: $100
Typical Kitchen Remodel: $375

How to Apply for a Rebate

Make sure your
permit was issued AFTER June 30, 2007

Make sure your
residence is over 20-years old
-
Make sure your
project receives a FINAL inspection approval within one-year of permit
issuance

Fill out a refund
application
-
Submit your
refund application by fax, mail or in person

Allow 4 to 6
weeks for processing
