The Building Safety Section is responsible for
administering and enforcing the building codes,
fire codes, and zoning ordinance
that the City adopts.
New buildings, additions, alterations, repairs,
demolitions, changes in plumbing, mechanical
and electrical systems will require
a permit followed by inspection of the construction.
101.4.1 Building Code. The provisions of
the International Building Code and amendments thereto
shall apply
to the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement,
repair, equipment,
use and occupancy, location, removal and
demolition of every building or structure or any
appurtenances connected or attached to such buildings or structures.
