Welcome to the Kiwanis Park Batting Range! The Batting Range, owned and operated by the City of Tempe, opened for business on August 6, 1990 and is entering it's 18th year of service to the citizens of Tempe. We are open year round 7 days a week only closing for the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays. However, we do close when the weather interferes with our operating in safe conditions. The staff of the Kiwanis Park Batting Range includes one full-time coordinator and anywhere from 6-10 part-time personnel. Also on staff are 3 baseball/softball instructors that provide our baseball and softball instruction.

 


The Kiwanis Park Batting Range features:

*    10 lighted cages with dual pitching machines in 8 cages

* 10 baseball machines with speeds from 30-75 mph pitching from 45’

* 6 slow-pitch softball machines

* 2 fast-pitch softball machines, 40 & 60 mph

*  Bats and helmets are available for use

* T-ball area for the “little slugger” not able to use the cages & for the big leaguer
who wants extra practice

*  Walk in pro-shop offering bats, batting gloves and accessories

*  General concession items: soda, candy, chips, etc.

*  Baseball and softball hitting, pitching, fielding lessons

*  Group lessons starting at $55 throughout the year

*  Camps/Clinics in the Spring & Summer

*  Group and Team Cage Rentals

*  Birthday Party packages
