Cage reservations are
encouraged for coaches who wish to bring their teams to the Kiwanis Park
Batting Range for practice. Reservations allow a team to use one cage
exclusively for one (1) hour. Reservations require a minimum of 8
players and must be made at least 3 days in advance,
or 5 days in advance if made
through our online reservation form.
We do ask that teams bring their own bats and helmets.
Coaches, you may want to
consider using the grassy areas around the facility during your
reservation time. This area can be used to practice on other areas of
the game, such as fielding, throwing, bunting, and other basic
fundamentals. By utilizing this area you reduce the chance of players
getting bored. Those coaches who have taken advantage of this area have
found their time here at the Batting Range to much more productive.

Fees
for cage reservations are $25.00
This fee includes the
use of 35 tokens to be used during your reservation with each
token providing 16 pitches.
Teams may
reserve only one cage; however,
depending on how busy the facility is players may use another cage.
If
players do use another cage, we ask that regular walk-up guests be
allowed first use.
It is
also requested that teams without reservations
allow walk-up guests to rotate in between their team
members.
Please be
on time for your reservation. If a team fails to show within 15
minutes after their scheduled reservation time, the reservation will be
cancelled. |
* * As a reminder, all
players must wear closed toe/heel shoes, (no sandals, flip flops, clogs,
or metal cleats). The recommended footwear is tennis shoes. In
addition, the use of any tobacco product (cigarettes, chewing tobacco,
and the like) and sunflower seeds are prohibited within the Kiwanis Park
Batting Range. We thank you for your cooperation!
