Hammond, Long and Bond
April 9 - July 9, 2004

Brent Bond came to the Valley in 1994 as a Regents' Scholar and received his Master's of Fine Arts from Arizona State University. He has served on the faculty of the ASU Printmaking Department since 2000. He has public art commissions in the libraries of Phoenix and Chandler, in the Phoenix Zoo and at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. His work is featured in numerous public collections, including the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, the ASU Art Museum and the Tucson Museum of Art.

Steve Long says that his pieces evolve from small pencil sketches. "In my art I like compositions that are clean at a glance but are complex upon closer inspection. The interplay between shapes, texture and smoothness, darkness and light, warmth and coolness interests me." Long has had works at the Vision Gallery in Chandler and at Mood Swings in Tempe.
