Beginning students learn the fundamentals of hand building throwing
and glazing.
Continuing students are encouraged to integrate and enhance the
technical and conceptual aspects of ceramics.
Self-directed projects with the help of experienced staff are also
available.

Each year the
ceramics program enrolls about 600 students
in four seasonal eight-week class sessions ranging from beginner to
advance.
Enrolled
students have access to a fully equipped studio. Classes include
demonstrations, instructions, discussions and examples of contemporary
and historical ceramics.
All skill
levels are welcome.
