Catherine Hammond is the founder and moderator for Tempe Poetry in April. Her translations of the Spanish poet Olvido García Valdés appear as a chapbook, House Surrounded by Scaffold for Mid-American Review. Hammond’s translations also appear in Cerise Press, Drunken Boat, Field, From the Fishouse, Harvard Divinity Bulletin, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Metamorphoses, Seneca Review, Salt River Review, Two Lines Online and Words without Borders. Her own poetry has been anthologized in Fever Dreams: Contemporary Arizona Poetry and in Yellow Silk II. Individual poems have appeared in Chicago Review, North American Review, The Laurel Review and many others. Hammond has three Pushcart nominations.
