Design Guidelines:
- Locate transit facilities in the median of the Boulevard
with covered newsstand/coffee shop at seating area.
- Construct pedestrian plazas from the sidewalk to entryways
on adjacent businesses. Provide a stronger connection of the Boulevard to the
commercial developments in this manner.
- Create pedestrian corridors to connect adjacent residential
areas to the Boulevard.
- Consider rehabilitation of historic auto-related buildings
as character elements.
- Emphasize/celebrate transit
- Run light rail transit down the middle of the Boulevard.
