League Structure & Scoring: The player(s) listed 1st on the match schedule shall bring a can of new tennis balls. Round robin format, no-add scoring. A 3rd set 10-point match tiebreak will be played in lieu of a 3rd set.

Player check-in: Players are to check in at the reception desk 10 minutes prior to every match time to receive court assignments prior to play and to let us know that you are here.  No substitute players may be used, you must play your own matches.

Reporting score: Match winners are to report scores to the reception desk immediately following the match. Players may do so by coming up to the front desk, calling them in (480-350-5711), or by emailing them to Jackie.  Scores not reported within 7 days will be counted as a loss to both players.

Scoring SystemThe player(s) with the most match wins will be declared the champion. In the event there is a tie, the champions will be settled as follows:

1.  Head-to-Head. Winner of the head-to-head match played between the two players or teams in question.

2.  Sets. Loser of the fewest number of sets.

3. Games. Loser of the fewest number of games.

Match results will be updated weekly for viewing on-line or see the league book located at the KRC Reception Desk.

Match Rescheduling & Communication: E-mail is the preferred communication method between players. Rescheduling is discouraged. Only one re-scheduling will be allowed per league season.
Re-scheduling rules are as follows:

· It is the responsibility of the player(s) needing to re-schedule to contact their opponent(s) at least a week prior to the match, if possible.
· The match must also be played no later than 7 days after the original date.
· Failure to reach an agreed re-scheduling time shall result in a loss to the player(s) responsible.
· Re-scheduled matches must be reported to jackie_cerda@tempe.gov . Complimentary courts are no longer provided after the first re-schedule. The player(s) responsible for re-scheduling must pay for the court time.

Lateness & Defaults: Players have a 15 minute "grace" period to show up and check in at the reception desk after the originally scheduled match time. Players who check in after the 15 minute default time receive 0 points; however, the match may still be played for fun if agreeable to the opponent(s).

No-Shows & Defaults: Please, as a courtesy to your opponents, and to maintain the integrity of the league, AVOID NO SHOWS. It should be noted that two no-shows by a player or doubles team during a league session will result in the player or team being defaulted from the league.  The player or team will not be allowed to register for the following league session.

Rainouts & Inclement Weather: When league matches are rained out, an additional week of play will be added to the end of the season. Matches will be played on the same day and time as originally scheduled unless the players reschedule a make-up for a different date & time.  If weather is questionable, call KRC at 480-350-5711 to find out if you are playing. A decision will be made one hour in advance of match starting time. If rain interrupts play, and the match is completed on a different date, the match will resume with the same score when interrupted.
