Hydration Stations
Local agencies and municipalities work together to provide supplies of water to the homeless and unsheltered.   Residents are asked to donate water at various drop-off locations throughout Tempe:

Community Information and Referral (CIR) - CIR is the key source of integrated information that brings people and services together every day with ease, compassion, and quality to meet vital needs in central and northern Arizona.  CIR's vision is for all people to have easy access to information about the full range of health, human, and emergency services provided in Arizona communities.

Health-e-Arizona - Providing medical assistance, Food Stamps and cash assistance. Apply for benefits from Health-e-Arizona online. Also available 24 hour/ 7 day a week via interactive voice response system # 602.542.9935 or # 1.800.352.8401.
 

Homeless Services


I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) - Located in downtown Tempe. Homeless people are provided with food and a safe place to sleep three days per week. I-HELP is an interfaith, cooperative effort of several Tempe congregations such as Tempe First United Methodist Church, Tempe Emergency Assistance Ministries, Tempe Community Action Agency and Tempe Salvation Army plus Tempe business and education partners.

Tempe Emergency Assistance Ministry (TEAM) - An interfaith coalition of Tempe clergy and social service agencies that have joined together to coordinate and mobilize efforts to provide food and social services through the Tempe faith community. Contact Person: Jayson Matthews at (480) 858-2302.

Urban Outreach - Showers are offered Monday and Friday mornings from 6-11 am. People often line up starting at 5 am for a chance to take a shower. Approximately 60 showers are taken each day, or 8,000 showers a year. Shampoo, razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided for guests. Donations of these items are always gladly accepted. Please contact urbanoutreachinfo@cox.net if you have items to donate.

Arizona Standdown - While its primary goal is helping homeless veterans access the resources needed, including housing, to regain their highest level of independence; its secondary goal is to bring our community and service providers together in a collaborative format that can build relationships throughout the year that positively benefit homeless veterans. 

Health Services


ASU Clinic
- In cooperation with Arizona Board of Regents and Campus Health Service, ASU offers an affordable major medical insurance policy to students and their dependents. This insurance provides access to the health and counseling services at any ASU Health Service location.  The insurance plan is designed to provide group coverage to students and their dependents that are uninsured, need a less expensive alternative or need an Arizona provider network.

Mountain Park Health Center - Mountain Park Health Center works with the communities it serves to sustain and improve health by providing affordable primary care.

WellCare - The WellCare Clinic at Westside Community Center is part of the WellCare Foundation and assists uninsured single mothers and their children by providing wellness and episodic acute care. By appointment only on Tuesdays. Please call 602.263.7619 to schedule an appointment.
