Keeping live music alive as selected performers from the TCA’s Walk-In Wednesdays series join
headliner Joe Myers for a night of original music. Host Walt Richardson
invites audience comment as the headliner shares the secrets of his or her craft. The show
is being taped for television.
The TCA Gallery will present a free
teacher workshop in conjunction with the Chuck Amuck exhibition and the
Gallery’s free online curriculum unit called “It Only Looks Easy,” which
includes hands-on cartoon projects and a lesson about careers in the arts.

Allison is a legend and is often called "the William Faulkner of Jazz."
His music and insightful lyrics have influenced many blues and rock artists,
such as The Rolling Stones, John Mayall, J. J. Cale and The Who.

A Family Creativity Day featuring free hands-on
projects for children is scheduled in the TCA Gallery and
During the Golden Age of animation Jones helped bring to life many of Warner Bros. most famous characters—Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and Porky Pig. The list of characters he created himself includes Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Marvin Martian, Pepe le Pew and Michigan J. Frog. Free The public opening of the exhibition Chuck Amuck: A Legacy of Laughter features a free, ticketed film night. Craig Kausen, Jones’ grandson and representative of the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, will introduce short films created by Jones and share personal stories about his grandfather.
Rob Bell, founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible
Church, in Grandville, Mich., leads an exploration of the endlessly complex
relationship between suffering and creativity.
Violinist Katie McLin joins the Tempe Symphony
orchestra for its winter concert. This is a free event; no tickets
are necessary. No reserved seating. Seating is on a first-come, first-served
basis on the night of the concert. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
This exhibition features a wide range of artistic and scientific approaches to exploring faces, including traditional portraiture to contemporary renderings and the technical understanding of the human face in new media and science. Free
