OBJECTIVES The following objectives have been identified as being necessary to achieve
this goal:
- Prevent the chaotic proliferation of signage
- Avoid the visual clutter created by excessive signage
- Promote building-mounted signage compatible with, and
complementary to, building design and architecture
- Identify place, name, product, and provide price, service, and
directional information. These objectives must also be compatible with land use, location,
and special circumstances
