On Tuesday, March 14th at approximately 11:45am, a 74 year-old woman was physically & sexually assaulted inside her Tempe residence.  Police are seeking the public’s help in finding her attacker.

At 11:45am the suspect knocked on the woman’s door and when she answered he told her that he was there to check on her water heater / water.  She let the suspect into her home and showed him where the hot water heater was located.  The suspect then approached the victim and demanded money.  She declined his request and at that point he began to assault her.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 30-35 years old, 5’4”—5’8” tall, muscular build, short black hair, and was wearing an unknown colored sleeveless shirt and unknown colored pants.  He was seen driving away in a very dirty, small, black 2-door sports car type vehicle.  He was seen alone in the car as he left.

The victim was able to assist investigators by completing a composite of the suspect.  That composite is attached to this news release.
