HOMICIDE  

Homicides are initially investigated by the Investigations Bureau. 

The investigation of a homicide may directly or indirectly involve other criminal acts. At the outset of an investigation, the supervisor in charge will designate an investigator, who will have the overall responsibility for the case.  

Fires that result in a death will be jointly investigated by Arson and Homicide Detectives.
