Google, Microsoft, Here Inc and Intel speak about trends in tech and demonstrate new products at Tempe conference

What is the future of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, autonomous cars, and even Alexa? Find out what top companies predict at the largest technology developer conference in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area - the Phoenix Mobile and Emerging Tech Festival. 

The free, all-day festival brings together top experts from around the country to discuss tech advancements, security issues and more. It takes place on Sept. 23 at Memorial Union at Arizona State University, 301 Orange Mall, Tempe, AZ. It’s the sixth year for this annual festival.

“This conference has emerged from the intersection of our passion for cutting edge technology and bringing the community together. We have seen amazing synergies evolve from this conference again and again,” conference founder Anjali Nennelli said.

Google, Intel and T-Mobile and many others will showcase their cutting-edge technology and share their vision of the future. Microsoft, Trimble and VRforGood will demonstrate the latest in Virtual Reality.

ASU, the top university for innovation in the country, is bringing its leadership to the festival.  Dr. Sethuraman “Panch” Panchanathan, Chief Research and Innovation Officer, and Chris Richardson, the Assistant Vice President of IT Development, will speak.

Mayor Mark Mitchell will open the festival. He said, “Tempe is a popular destination for tech companies and tech workforce members. This conference will give our tech community an opportunity to exchange ideas, partner on new projects and expand the tech ecosystem. I look forward to the possibilities that will emerge from the festival.”
