Deadline Extended for Arts Jobs
The City of Tempe has one part-time public art assistant and four part-time positions available at the Edna Vihel Center for the Art. The deadline to apply for these positions has been extended.
Tempe Public Art is also searching for a part-time assistant. This position assists with projects related to public art. This includes meeting planning, clerical support, research, artist assistance and project documentation. Requires comprehensive computer skills; Responsible clerical or secretarial experience including public contact; Related professional experience and/or completed course work in the visual arts, performing arts, art history, museum studies and arts administration. Edna Vihel Center is searching for applicants with experience in arts education for youth and adults, and who have the ability to develop and support quality and arts programming. These positions are designed to expand youth and community arts programming for Tempe residents. The deadline to apply is March 20. Youth Arts Programming Assistant
This position is responsible for programming early childhood arts events for 1-6 year olds at the Edna Vihel Center. Events include Free Art Fridays and Tea Time Thursdays, as well as developing and implementing new programming.
Arts Office Assistant
The Arts Office Assistant position works at the front desk of the Edna Vihel Center. We are seeking an assistant to help with administrative duties, class registration, accounting, and marketing for the arts education programming.
Adult Painting Instructor & Youth Dance Instructor
This instructor will teach a variety of evening adult painting classes, or a variety of daytime youth dance classes at the Edna Vihel Center.
