On Tuesday July 21, 2014 at approximately 8:47 p.m., Tempe Police Officers responded to a collision on Broadway Rd. just east of College Ave., in which a vehicle struck a 20 year old male victim who was afoot, pushing his bicycle along the north side curb of Broadway.  The victim was hospitalized with very serious injuries, but thankfully is recovering.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision without stopping to help the victim or notifying police of the incident.  Tempe’s Vehicular Crime Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the driver and vehicle.

Investigators have determined the suspect vehicle is likely to be a dark-colored 2001-2006 Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Stratus.

The vehicle will have undergone damage to the passenger side mirror and possible damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information on this collision, the suspect vehicle, or the suspect vehicle driver to contact: Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at W-I-T-N-E-S-S (480-948-6377), or toll free at 1-800-343-TIPS.

You can also leave an anonymous tip on the silent witness website at www.silentwitness.org.  A cash reward is available for information leading to the arrest/indictment of the suspect(s).
