Tempe Police will make it easy and fun to register your bike at the Tour de Tempe community bike ride April 6 from 7:30 – 11 a.m. at Kiwanis Park, 6111 S. All America Way. Look for the booth with the Tempe PD Crime Prevention banner in the west parking lot, north of Guadalupe Road across from the batting cages.

Bicycle registration is free for all Tempe residents, including part-time residents and students, and only takes a few minutes!

If you can’t make it to the April 6 Tour de Tempe event, you can always register on-line, or in person at Police Department Headquarters, 120 E. Fifth St., Apache Police Substation at 1855 E. Apache Blvd. and Hardy Police Substation, 8201 S. Hardy Drive.

Identification is a critical component in the successful investigation, arrest and prosecution of bike thefts. Bike owners who register, photograph, etch, record the serial number in a safe place at home, and otherwise take proactive crime prevention steps have a significantly higher chance of recovering stolen property.   Registering your bike requires name, phone number, street address and email address, make, model, serial number, color of bicycle and any other recognizable identifiers.

Tempe Police thank you for helping keep your bike safe and our community crime free!
