Tempe Police are still asking for assistance from the public to identify and locate the vehicle and driver involved in a hit and run collision with a skateboarder that occurred Friday, December 27th at 3:30 p.m. on University Drive at Ash Avenue.  The driver of the sport utility vehicle (see photo) fled the scene southbound into the adjacent neighborhood and was last seen traveling at a high rate of speed on or near southbound Farmer Avenue from University Drive.

The victim hit by the SUV is 24 year old Dustin Kalkbrenner (see photos), who remains hospitalized in critical condition. The suspect driver is believed to be a white or light skinned male adult in his early twenties, with bushy brown shoulder length hair adorned with a hair comb or pick. The passenger is described as a white male.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377).
