Tempe Police Participate in Global Law Enforcement Tweet-A-Thon 11/1/2013

Post Date:10/31/2013

Tempe PD will be partnering with law enforcement from across the globe in the second annual global police Tweet-A-Thon on November 1, 2013, using the hashtag #poltwt.

Throughout the day, we’ll be tweeting while patrolling on City streets and in neighborhoods about on day-to-day police operations and a look at some of the situations our officers encounter while protecting and serving the Tempe community.

Communications are fundamental to Tempe PD’s strong partnership with residents and community groups across Tempe. We also want to emphasize Tempe PD’s commitment to the increased use of social media in the near future as an additional practical tool, along with all our other means of communicating with community members.

Our twitter account, @tempepolicefire, features Community Alerts and News, Safety Tips, and upcoming community events, such as Drug Take Back, Document Shred-a-Thons and the Run from the Cops 5K.
