What type of maps does the City of Tempe Engineering / Mapping Dept. maintain and distribute? The City of Tempe maintains 5 different type of maps. Land, Water, Sewer, Drainage, and Improvements. In addition to these maps the city also has control maps for Land, Water, Sewer, Drainage, and survey. In many cases we will find ourselves integrating aerial maps to what has been mentioned to help enhance our base maps and vise versa. The maps are available in hard copy and digital format.
